Prof. Haithem Farghali

Dr. Haithem Farghali, DVM, is a Professor of Surgery, Anesthesiology, and Radiology at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Cairo University, Egypt. With over 25 years of academic and clinical experience, he has made significant contributions to veterinary science through teaching, research, and practice.

Dr. Farghali began his academic career at Cairo University in 1998, progressing from Demonstrator to Professor in 2017. He has published 94 research articles and supervised 28 master’s and 13 PhD theses, focusing on advanced veterinary surgical techniques, regenerative medicine, and innovative cancer therapies. Currently, he is part of a research team led by Professor Dr. Mostafa Elsaid, pioneering plasmonic photo-thermal therapy for mammary gland tumors in pets.

In addition to academia, Dr. Farghali is the owner of Alpha Vet Clinics, a chain of veterinary clinics. He serves as a consultant to the Egyptian Ministry of Interior's Police Academy and Security and Guard Dogs Training Center. He also advises the School of Veterinary Medicine at Badr University in Cairo and is a speaker for Zoetis Animal Health in Egypt.

Dr. Farghali is highly regarded for his hands-on training and workshops, conducting courses in orthopedic surgeries, ultrasound diagnostics, and soft tissue surgeries for various organizations, including the Armed Forces Veterinary Hospital, General Syndicate of Veterinarians, and the Ministry of Agriculture. His clinical expertise spans orthopedic surgery, stem cell therapy for neurological conditions, platelet-rich plasma in wound healing, and nanogold applications in cancer research.

A leader in veterinary medicine and education, Dr. Farghali continues to advance veterinary practice and research in Egypt and beyond.
