Ms. Lisa Angell, RVN, VTS (Anaesthesia & Analgesia), PgCert VetEd, is Head Anaesthesia Nurse at the Queen Mother Hospital for Animals, Royal Veterinary College (RVC), University of London, one of the world's leading veterinary teaching hospitals. She is an internationally recognized specialist in veterinary anaesthesia, analgesia, pain management, and veterinary nursing education.
Ms. Angell joined the Royal Veterinary College in 2010 as an Anaesthesia Nurse following seven years in a busy first-opinion veterinary practice. In 2013, she was appointed Head Anaesthesia Nurse, where she leads a multidisciplinary team of anaesthesia nurses, theatre nurses, and diagnostic assistants, supporting one of the United Kingdom's largest specialist veterinary referral hospitals.
In 2012, Ms. Angell achieved the prestigious Veterinary Technician Specialist (VTS) in Anaesthesia & Analgesia qualification, one of the highest international professional credentials in veterinary nursing. She further strengthened her commitment to education by completing a Postgraduate Certificate in Veterinary Education (PgCert VetEd) at the Royal Veterinary College in 2020.
An accomplished educator and internationally invited speaker, Ms. Angell has presented extensively at national and international veterinary congresses on a wide range of anaesthesia and analgesia topics. She has a particular passion for multimodal pain management, loco-regional anaesthesia, patient safety, and advancing the role of veterinary nurses in delivering high-quality perioperative care.
